Access to these specialized applications is delivered in one of two ways - either by locally installing on your GW-owned computer or by publishing a virtualized instance of the application to the College's Cloud Portal.  The latter method is the OTS-preferred delivery method and the most flexible for end users.  Using a virtualized instance of your application allows you to access it at any time, from any place (home, GW, or any other Internet-enabled location), and any device (Mac, PC, iPad, Android-based device).  Application virtualization using Citrix is not suitable for graphic intensive applications like Final Cut or Adobe PhotoShop.
